COVID-19 Update

The safety and health of our families and staff are our top priority, with that being said, we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel this year’s USNA Scout Camporee. Following recommendations and guidelines from the CDC, we have decided to wait until it is safer and healthier to run the USNA Scout Camporee. We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and appreciate your understanding and patience with us as we have come to this difficult and unfortunate decision. We hope to bring this event back in 2021.

The Camp Letts staff is still discussing safe and healthy ways to have families come out and enjoy camp for the day. We know how important time at camp is for families and how meaningful the Camp Letts experience can be, especially during times like these. Once we have an update on any day programs available for families, you will be the first to know. We are working hard to find a way to safely social distance, while still enjoying all the beauty and adventure camp has to offer.

YMCA Camp Letts is proud to partner with the United States Naval Academy each year for the USNA Scout Camporee. Scouts from all over the region come to Annapolis for this special event each November. Camp Letts is located only 45 minutes east of Washington D.C and 2.5 hours south of Philadelphia. Start your weekend Friday evening at Camp Letts making enjoying all our 219 acres has to offer playing basketball or starting your own campfire with your fellow scouts. Pitch a tent with your fellow scouts or rent one of our 13 lodges on the property. Bathroom facilities with toilets and showers will be available for anyone tent camping on the property. Our lodges are complete with electricity, indoor plumbing, bunks with mattress and heating. Camp Letts will provide each guest a continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, tailgate style lunch Saturday at the Navy Stadium and a hot dinner Saturday night in the camp dining hall. Scout leaders will need to book their Naval Academy tour through the Academy as well as purchase their tickets for Saturday’s football game. Scouts are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Academy on Saturday.
